Snapshot No. 655-659
659. San-zaru

There are many mounds and stone monuments around this area.
This is a monument called here "
kou-sin-tou".

Three monkeys at the base, an archetype of the "
kou-sin-tou".
This is the so-called "
san-zaru" (three monkeys) with the postures of;
"See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil".
I thought that this pictorial pattern and the 3 wordings like word playing are valid only for us here. HOWEVER, it looks not so.
It is said that the 3 monkeys and the 3 wordings have been used around the world since the time of ancient Egypt.
And, the "
san-zaru" is adopted in the Unicode emoji.
For instance, "see-no-evil monkey" looks like this;
🙈
658. Is the Tosi-gami san coming?
A dance with lion's mask was held at the nearby station square.

A shot showing only the musicians behind the lion.
Man, here too, now the ubiquitous surgical masks and transparent face shields.
I am afraid that these unfamilar styles make the
tosi-gami san (the deities to celebrate the new year) who will come from high mountains hesitate to visit our place.
657.@An expedience believer

A bell shed of a nearby temple of Buzan school of Shingon Sect.
In the new-year holidays, it looks anyone can ring this bell. So I tried once as an expedience follower.

Gu o o n n, n n n, - - -, indeed stately low sound, resouding to the bottom of my belly.
Such low sound is not absorbed so much by the ground surface or the air. That is why the sound of this temple reaches to far away places.
656.@Flying or fishing a kite?
A kite flying at a nearby vacant lot. A great trick to fish a kite!

Looks applicable to a vertical antenna.
At this time of year when the wind is steady, a full-size vertical antenna with this method might be possible.
This setup seems much better than put a loading-coil in a poor manner.
655. Being behind the digital age?
The voltage during a 12-V battery charging.
The indications of analogue and digital multimeters were compared.

Both are of Sanwa make and I have used them for decades.
In the checking of battery voltage or of conduction of lead wires or terminals, I tend to use the analogue type rather than the digital.
This is probably because I enjoy the following flow;
the standstill needle at the left starts rising toward the right direction in a manner of saying "Alright, let's go!.", and gently approaches to a would-be point, and stands still at the new position.
and I murmur "good".
Another explanation can be;
I am simply behind the digital age.
